This policy describes marketplace data practices for customers, sellers and visitors.Last updated: 15 September 20261. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pahad Ki Dukaan marketplace, customer and seller accounts, checkout, support and related services. It does not govern an independent seller website or third-party service that has its own policy.
By using the marketplace, you acknowledge the processing described here. Consent is requested separately where law requires consent rather than another lawful basis.
2. Information we collect
We may collect account identity and contact information, delivery addresses, order and cart details, seller registration and compliance material, product listings, support communications, reviews and information you choose to submit.
Payment card, UPI or banking credentials are generally processed by authorised payment providers; we may receive tokens, references, status, amount and limited payment metadata rather than full credentials.
3. Device, usage and cookie data
Servers and security systems can receive IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, referring pages, requested URLs, error logs, cookie identifiers and interaction events. This supports sessions, fraud control, reliability, analytics and performance.
Required cookies support account, cart, language, security and checkout functions. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if introduced, will be handled according to applicable notice and consent requirements.
4. How information is used
Information is used to provide accounts, process and fulfil orders, calculate shipping, display status, handle support and returns, review sellers and listings, prevent abuse, meet legal duties, improve the service and communicate operational updates.
We may create aggregated or de-identified information for analysis where it is not reasonably linked back to an individual.
5. Marketplace sellers and service providers
Necessary order information may be shared with the relevant independent seller so the seller can fulfil, invoice and support the purchase. Sellers must use that information only for legitimate order and legal purposes and are responsible for their own compliance.
We may use hosting, security, communications, analytics, logistics, payment, professional and compliance providers. They receive information appropriate to their function and are expected to protect it under contract or law.
6. AI-assisted marketplace features
Seller-supplied product names, photographs and attributes may be processed by automated systems to draft catalogue content, detect issues or assist review. Sellers must verify the final listing. Sensitive personal data should not be placed in product images or listing prompts.
Automated assistance does not authorise unsupported health, origin, certification or performance claims. Human or rules-based review may be applied where appropriate.
7. Legal, safety and business disclosures
We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, court or lawful government request; enforce terms; investigate fraud or safety; protect users, sellers or rights; or establish and defend legal claims.
If the marketplace undergoes a reorganisation, financing, acquisition or transfer, information may move as part of that transaction subject to applicable safeguards.
8. Retention
Retention depends on purpose, legal accounting and tax duties, dispute periods, fraud prevention, backup cycles and operational necessity. Some transaction records may be retained after account closure where law or legitimate claims require it.
When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymised or isolated according to practical and legal requirements.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards, but no Internet service can promise absolute security. Users must protect passwords, devices and one-time codes and report suspected misuse promptly.
Pahad Ki Dukaan representatives and sellers should never ask for your password, card PIN, UPI PIN or OTP.
10. Choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, grievance review or restriction concerning eligible personal information. Requests may require identity verification and can be limited by legal retention, fraud or transaction obligations.
Account and order information can be reviewed through available account features. Marketing preferences, if offered, can be changed without disabling essential service messages.
11. Children, changes and contact channel
The marketplace is not intended for independent use by children who cannot legally contract. A parent or lawful guardian should supervise purchases and seller activity.
We may update this policy to reflect services, law or security practice. Material changes will be posted with a revised date. Privacy requests should be submitted through the marketplace Support page rather than to a personal address.
