SELLER POLICY · VERSION 18 SEPTEMBER 2026
Simple selling, clear responsibilities
Pahad Ki Dukaan provides the marketplace, technology and marketing. Sellers focus on genuine products, safe packing and reliable fulfilment.
You may submit an application even if you do not yet have GST or FSSAI documents. Products can go live only after the registrations and approvals applicable to that product, seller, place of business and selling model are verified. Pahad Ki Dukaan's registrations are not automatically transferred or loaned to a seller.
Who can apply
Individual artisans, farmers, producers, self-help groups and registered businesses from India's hill and Himalayan regions may apply. Food, handloom, handicraft, natural, cultural and other approved regional products are welcome.
GST and FSSAI
FSSAI applies to food businesses, not ordinary handloom or handicraft products. GST and other registrations depend on the product, turnover, location and supply model. Food sellers must provide their applicable FSSAI Registration/License before a food listing is activated unless a separate written platform-assisted arrangement has been approved.
Compliance assistance
If documents are missing, choose a per-item review plan or monthly assistance plan during application. We may help with registration, labelling, invoicing and compliance review. Charges and scope will be disclosed and accepted in writing before activation. Applying does not guarantee approval.
Inspection and quality
We may request samples, photographs, invoices, ingredient details or visit the production, storage or packing location. Sellers must maintain hygiene, authenticity, traceability and any product-specific records. A failed inspection may delay, suspend or reject a listing.
Packing and shipping
The seller packs every order safely and dispatches it using India Post or another service available at the pickup location. The seller is responsible for accurate weight, protective packaging, lawful labels, dispatch proof and timely status updates. Free shipping may be offered by the seller.
Only 10% marketplace commission
If an item sells for ₹80, the marketplace commission is ₹8. Taxes, refunds, payment-gateway costs, shipping, compliance assistance or separately agreed services are handled as disclosed in the settlement statement and are not hidden inside the 10% claim.
- Marketplace technology and maintenance
- Product discovery and marketing
- Secure payment and fraud controls
- Customer support and seller tools
Ranking is earned automatically
Reliable dispatch, low cancellation and return rates, genuine products, complete listings and good verified customer reviews improve ranking. Poor quality, incorrect products, delayed fulfilment or repeated complaints reduce visibility. Sellers may bring their own customers for additional growth, but may not manipulate reviews.
Payments and settlement
Customer payment is collected by Pahad Ki Dukaan. The seller's eligible amount is released to the verified bank account after confirmed delivery and applicable checks, deductions, returns or disputes. “Immediately” means the next available settlement cycle after eligibility, not before delivery.
Returns, damage and disputes
The seller bears responsibility for wrong, unsafe, counterfeit, expired, damaged due to inadequate packing, or materially different products. Evidence from the customer, courier and seller may be reviewed before settlement, refund, recovery or ranking action.
Platform protection
Prohibited, illegal, misleading or unsafe products are not allowed. We may hold a listing or settlement during verification or a genuine dispute, and may suspend sellers for fraud, regulatory risk or repeated service failure. Material policy changes will be shown to sellers for fresh acknowledgement.
